Otrivine Metered Dose Nasal Spray contains the active ingredient xylometazoline hydrochloride, which helps to clear your nasal passages. unblock your nose in 2 minutes. lasts for up to 10 hours. One application in each nostril. Each application delivers a measured dose to clear a blocked nose and relieve excessive nasal secretions. It does this by helping swollen blood vessels in your nose return to the right size, giving you more room to breathe. It also helps to reduce excessive secretions produced in your nose, reducing blockage.

Ingredients

Active ingredient Xylometazoline Hydrochloride 1mg/ml, Each application contains 140 Micrograms of Xylometazoline Hydrochloride, Also contains: Sodium Dihydrogen Phosphate Dihydrate, Disodium Phosphate Dodecahydrate, Sodium Chloride, Disodium Edetate, Levomenthol, Cineole, Sorbitol, Polyoxylhydrogenated Castor Oil (Macrogol Glycerol Hydroxystearate) and Purified Water.

Safety Warnings

Warning Do not exceed the stated dose. Keep all medicines out of the sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date given. Do not use continuously for more than seven consecutive days.

Directions

Do not use continuously for more than 7 consecutive days. For Adults and Children over 12 years of age: 1 spray in each nostril up to 3 times daily. Remove protective cap. Do not cut the nozzle. The metered dose spray is ready to prime before use. Instructions Blow the nose gently. Be very careful not to spray in the eyes or mouth. Before the first application, prime the pump by actuating (depressing the pump) 4 times. Once primed the pump will normally remain charged throughout regular daily treatment periods. Should the spray not be ejected during the full actuation, the pump will need to be re-primed by actuating 4 times. Repeat with the other nostril. Clean and dry the nozzle before replacing back the cap right after use. We would suggest that you try not to blow your nose for the first few minutes allowing the medicine to get to work.
